Dooley and Kyra's Great Adventures

The weekend of April 13-15, 2007 was a HUGE one for our pups. It all started out on Friday with a fun and informative flyball seminar put on by "Rude Dogs" from Michigan. Saturday morning started bright and early with Kyra and Dooley's first U-Fli flyball tournament. None of their other "Ketch This" buddies could join them in Georgia, so the pups ran with dogs from the "Rude Dogs" team (Super nice people if you ever get the chance to meet them...SUPER FAST dogs too!!!). Kyra and Dooley had a GREAT time, and ended the day with multiple 18 second runs (not a huge deal to some, but a big deal for us), and their first U-Fli pin!! After a LOOONNGGG drive home, the pups got up early Sunday morning for their first agility trial. Both dogs were entered in Standard, Snooker, and Jumpers (USDAA), but due to a torrential downpour (and 2 VERY tired handlers), they only ended up running in Standard. Both dogs did GREAT for their first time out, and paid good attention to what we told them to do (even if our instructions weren't always correct).

Kyra and Dooley entered their second agility trial the weekend of 4/28 and 4/29/07. This time it was an AKC trial, and they entered Novice Standard and Novice Jumpers. Both dogs got 2 legs towards their NA title, and Dooley received 1 leg towards his Novice Jumpers. I am in the process of setting up a page with their times and placements, but for now the videos will have to do.
